Bettie Mae Blair Ball, 81, of Thomasville passed away peacefully Wednesday January 09, 2019 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem. Bettie was born May 12, 1937 to the late Arville Blair and Della Phillips Blair in Guilford County. Bettie was of the Baptist Faith and had a love for Gospel Music. Bettie worked many years in the Furniture Industry in the office. Bettie enjoyed doing cross-stitch in her spare time, along with doing ancestry and genealogy research on her family history. She was a big Atlanta Braves fan, and enjoyed watching the Tennessee Women’s Basketball team. The greatest joy in Bettie’s life was being a Granny to her grandson Jordan. She was a loving mother, mother-in-law, granny, sister and friend; she will be greatly missed. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Hollis (Holly) Blair; and her special companion of many years, R. L. Gates. Surviving is her son, Keith Blair and wife Kathy of Thomasville; one grandson, Jordan Blair of Thomasville; sister-in-law, Phyllis Blair of Wallburg; one nephew, Scott Blair of High Point; she also leaves behind many beloved cousins and other extended family. A funeral service will be held Tuesday January 15, 2019 at 2:00 PM at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Barnes officiating. Interment will follow at Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery in High Point. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service, beginning at 1:00-2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be sent to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292. Online condolences may be sent to the family at
