Mr. Frank Edward Davis, Sr., a resident of Thomasville, passed away Monday, January 7, 2019 in Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Davis was born in Randolph County to the late Joseph Robert and Shelby Henderson Davis on February 15, 1948. He worked as a surveyor for many years until his retirement. On January 29, 1970 he married Glenda Kay McDaniel. Mr. Davis was an avid fisherman and enjoyed collecting fishing rods. He was a member of Lamb of God Outreach Ministries, and was very involved in the church ministry there. In addition to his parents, Mr. Davis was preceded in death by a son, Frank Davis, Jr.; and a brother, Steven Davis. Mr. Davis is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mrs. Glenda Davis of Lexington; two sons, J.C. York and wife Ann of Randleman and Donnie York and wife Angel of Thomasville; two brothers, John Davis and wife Francis of Trinity and Curtis Davis and wife Lisa of High Point; a sister, Bettie Ann Aultman and husband Joe of Thomasville; a sister-in-law, Marilyn Davis of High Point; grandchildren, Alicia, Valerie, LeeAnn, and James; great-grandchildren, McKenzie, McKenna, and McKinley; daughter-in-law, Cindy Stevenson of Thomasville; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday January 19, 2019 at 6 PM at Lamb of God Outreach Ministry by Rev. Rodney Ball, J.C. York, and Rev. Billy Myers.
