Mrs. Betty Ann Wright Jones, 86, a resident of Salem St., died Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at Pine Ridge Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born on March 27, 1932 in Davidson County, NC to Bynum Alton Wright and Vesta Caroline Snider Wright. She worked at Thomasville Senior High School in the cafeteria, at Mann Drug Store in Thomasville and she retired from Thomasville Furniture Industries after 16 years of service. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Anne Stavish; her brothers, Leon Wright and Max Duffy Wright. On November 19, 1988, she married Francis Allen (Casey) Jones, who survives of the home; also surviving is her sons, Alton Holland and wife Sherry of High Point, Howard Holland of Walkertown and Paul Holland and wife Amelia of Wallburg; six grandchildren, Chandra Young Cascone and husband Dennis, Al Preston Holland and wife Donna, Mandy Holland Tilly and husband Steven, Lindsay Holland Goggins and husband Chris, Cordelia Holland, and Caitlin Holland; and 6 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 9, 2018 at 11:00 AM at First United Methodist Church in Thomasville with Rev. Bynum Orr and Rev. Robin Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Jones will remain at the J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville until taken to the church 30 minutes prior to the service.
