Charles “Bud” Edward Warren, 76, a resident of Thomasville passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2018 in Alston Brook Nursing and Rehab in Lexington. Mr. Warren was born in Haywood County to the late Andrew S. and Edith Trull Warren on August 14, 1941. He was a supervisor for Parkdale Mills in Thomasville for many years until his retirement. Mr. Warren loved classic cars and hot rods but he especially loved Fords, specifically Mustangs, which he enjoyed restoring. He was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Warren and a sister, Mary Lou Young. Mr. Warren is survived by his children, Greg Warren of the home, Gary Warren and wife Leah Ann of Denton, Mona Warren of Lexington, Mike Warren of Whiteville, Lori Metcalf and husband Tim of Smithfield, Rita Allen and significant other, James Spell of Thomasville, Don Warren and wife Angelina of Thomasville, Ron Warren and wife Lori of Thomasville, and Della “Buggesy” Elberson and husband Jeff of Thomasville; sister, Annie Mae Messer of Thomasville; twenty-one grandchildren; fifty-six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; four nieces; two nephews; and special friend, Terry Crouse. A funeral service will be conducted Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the J.C. Green and Sons Chapel in Thomasville with the Rev. Steve Ervin officiating. Interment will follow the service in Holly Hill Memorial Park. The family will greet friends Friday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
