Mrs. Harriett Ruth Yokeley, 95, of Archie Yokeley Road, passed away Tuesday evening, March 14, 2017 at her home. She was born in Forsyth County on January 25, 1922 the daughter of William Virgil and Sarah Susie Anna Adams Sprinkle and had made her home in this area for her entire life. She was a member of Thomasville Church of Christ. She was a homemaker who was an accomplished seamstress who also loved to read and sing. She was the consummate care giver who cared for her brothers and sisters as they all grew up. Her family was her life and she cherished those times when she was surrounded by her children and grandchildren. One of her favorite activities was riding her golf cart around her farm with Archie. She was preceded in death by her parents, 12 brothers and sisters, and by her beloved son Mac in 2007. On December 25, 1939 she married the love of her life, Archie D. Yokeley who survives her of the home. Also surviving are her children Gary Yokeley and wife Vivian, Rhetta Anderson and husband Tommy, Sandra Teague and husband Jerold, Kitty Presley and husband Charles, Greg Yokeley, Kathy Stark and husband Barry, and by a devoted daughter in law, Brenda Yokeley; 16 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 3 great - great grandchildren. Funeral services will be on Saturday at 3:00 PM at Wallburg Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Gates, Rev. Brandon Wolfe, and Rev. Alan Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following services in the Wallburg Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. You all know I loved your precious Mother so very much. I would have given anything to have had a Mother like her. We had a close bond for a few years. You all made me feel like a member of the family. I will never forget the fun times we had together. You all had so many stories to tell and we laughed and laughed.I love you all dearly.
